Mcbazel Lux Meter, Digital Light Meter 200000 Lux, FC Units, Data Hold
Main highlights- [WHAT IT CANNOT MEASURE - PLEASE READ FIRST] This reads visible light on the CIE curve. It cannot capture a camera flash, because at two readings a second it is far too slow for a burst. On grow lights it is reliable under white and warm LEDs only, and it is not a PPFD or PAR meter, so red and blue horticultural fixtures will not give a figure you can trust. Very dim scenes below roughly 2 lux read as zero.
- [SENSOR COVER, AUTO POWER OFF AND A LOW CELL WARNING] A hinged cap sits over the light-sensing dome so it does not get scuffed in a toolbox between jobs. The meter powers itself down after five minutes with no button pressed, and a low-cell symbol appears on screen before readings start to suffer. Runs on 3 x 1.5V AAA cells. Please note: the batteries are not supplied.
- [MEASURES UP TO 200,000 LUX OR 20,000 FOOT-CANDLES] One instrument spans a dim classroom and full outdoor sun. Stated accuracy is 3 percent plus 10 digits below 10,000 lux and 4 percent plus 10 digits above it, with the sensor taking two readings a second. Press MODE to move between lux and foot-candles without stopping what you are doing.
- [BUILT FOR EVERYDAY CHECKS IN REAL ROOMS] Offices, classrooms, homes, factory floors and greenhouse benches: point it where people work or plants sit and read the figure. General guidance puts most office and study spaces around 300 to 500 lux, which gives you something to measure against. This is a practical working meter rather than a certified reference instrument, so the numbers are sound working values rather than certified ones.
- [BACKLIT SCREEN, DATA HOLD AND MAX MIN TRACKING] The backlight turns on from its own button, so the display stays readable in a plant room, a loft or a dark corner of a warehouse. HOLD freezes a reading while you write it down, and MAX MIN keeps the brightest and dimmest figures from a run. Worth knowing: MAX MIN shows the peak from the last session until it is reset, not the live value.

Mcbazel Lux Meter, 200000 Lux Illuminance Photometer, 270 Degree Sensor
Main highlights- [WHAT IT MEASURES, AND WHAT IT DOES NOT] This is an illuminance meter: it measures how much visible light lands on a surface. It is not a PAR or PPFD meter, so it cannot give you the figure a horticultural quantum sensor would, although it will tell you how one spot under a lamp compares with another. It is also not a photographic exposure or spot meter and will not give you shutter and aperture settings.
- [THE PROBE TURNS 270 DEGREES - TO THE RIGHT ONLY] Rotate the sensor head to face a ceiling fitting, a shelf underside or into a narrow gap while the screen stays turned towards you. That is the difference between reading a figure and contorting to see it. One rule that matters: turn the probe to the right only. Forcing it anticlockwise past its stop will damage the hinge.
- [RUNS ON 3 AAA CELLS, WITH AUTO OFF YOU CAN TURN OFF] About 20 hours of continuous reading, or 30 hours plus in normal stop-start use. The meter shuts down after 10 minutes idle to save the cells, and that shutdown can be cancelled when you need it to sit and log. A low-cell warning appears on screen before readings suffer. Please note: 3 AAA batteries are not supplied with the meter.
- [READS 0 TO 200,000 LUX, EIGHT TIMES A SECOND] One range covers a dim hallway and full midday sun without swapping settings. The sensor takes eight samples every second, so the figure settles as soon as you point it rather than drifting while you wait. Read in lux or switch to foot-candles with one button, and the reading holds steady enough to write down.
- [COLOUR SCREEN, LED CORRECTION, AND THE NUMBERS YOU ACTUALLY NEED] The backlit colour LCD stays legible in a dark plant room and in daylight. A one-key switch moves between LUX and FC, and the light-source correction modes for white and red LEDs bring readings closer to reality under modern fittings rather than assuming an incandescent bulb. It also tracks max, min and average, holds a reading on demand, and shows ambient temperature in C or F.
