Main highlights- [WHAT IT MEASURES, AND WHAT IT DOES NOT] This is an illuminance meter: it measures how much visible light lands on a surface. It is not a PAR or PPFD meter, so it cannot give you the figure a horticultural quantum sensor would, although it will tell you how one spot under a lamp compares with another. It is also not a photographic exposure or spot meter and will not give you shutter and aperture settings.
- [THE PROBE TURNS 270 DEGREES - TO THE RIGHT ONLY] Rotate the sensor head to face a ceiling fitting, a shelf underside or into a narrow gap while the screen stays turned towards you. That is the difference between reading a figure and contorting to see it. One rule that matters: turn the probe to the right only. Forcing it anticlockwise past its stop will damage the hinge.
- [RUNS ON 3 AAA CELLS, WITH AUTO OFF YOU CAN TURN OFF] About 20 hours of continuous reading, or 30 hours plus in normal stop-start use.
