Main highlights- The story continues: in the summer of 1951, Miller took command of No. 41 Squadron in Biggin Hill. He flew the Meteor in one of the most striking paintings of that time, defending British airspace with skill and style. His service did not pass without incidents: in April 1952, a turbine blade break over Essex caused a fire in the air, causing him to be one of the first RAF pilots to get out of a meteor. Undisturbed, Miller returned to fly and continued his rise in the ranks.
