- Is your display not lighting up? Maybe it is getting dim or even starting to have a reddish or pinkish hue, maybe it has completely gone dark. The good news: you need a new CCFL backlight lamp and we have them. We stock LCD backlight bulbs for most LCDs. The backlight repair is actually easier than you think, and once you replace the CCFL lamp in your LCD you have essentially restored your LCD display to new condition, as bright and vibrant as it was the first day you got it.
- How do you know if you need a new backlight? Power on your screen and shine a bright light on it (hold it up to a bright window, or shine a flashlight into it). If you can see the image on the screen, that means the screen is working, but simply not being lit up; this would be a backlight issue, meaning that a new backlight is needed.
- Determine which CCFL backlight is correct for your LCD: by the brand and model of the LCD panel in your unit. To find this, disassemble your unit and remove the LCD screen. On the back of the LCD screen you will see several stickers; one will show the brand and next to that the model number. Searching for a backlight by model number will lead you to our available backlight assemblies (CCFL + wires, connector, and end caps).
